So, I noticed an error in the last entry, I think anyone else who read it probably did to. I guess Owen started walking on May 24 not June 24. Anyway, so Owen has been walking for a month now. It is really nice to have him walking around. We visited family in Stirling two weekends ago. Owen’s cousins had rideable toys that he wanted to play with constantly. When we got home he tried to ride his dump truck. When that didn’t work he would get so frustrated. So last weekend we went to Toys R Us to find a toy that Owen could ride. Almost all of the toys were too big for him. But we managed to find something that will work until he gets big enough for a tricycle. We swore that we were going to get one with no batteries and no annoying music. But he loved this one that sang. Owen would press the buttons and dance and then press the buttons and dance. So we gave in a bought it. We lasted a day, then we took the batteries out. So now Owen just rides it, and we all stay sane.
While we were in the city last weekend we went to the Churchill Cup with Charlotte and her new boyfriend Marty (who is cool and nice). We were only there for the final, which was between the New Zealand Mauris and England. It was an awesome game. I have to admit, I really don’t know a lot about Rugby and niether did Stewart so Stewart did some internet research and printed off some rugby rules so we would know what we were watching. It didn’t take us very long before we were following what was going on. It was a close game. It went into overtime (two ten minute halves- no sudden death). New Zealand scored a try at the end of the last period. It was awesome.
